V-Twin: Landing Gear
If you have a kickstand, we have a better alternative. Landing Gear, debuting in 2011, is the perfect addition to your V-twin air ride system. Press a button, and your bike is poised to rest on a reinforced aluminum two-point support stand. Drop your suspension system, and your bike is in its lowest center-of-gravity position -- the safest place it can be. With the reinforced kickstand replacement, a.k.a. "Landing Gear", your bike is not only a work of art, it is untouchable.
Our landing gear package includes our reinforced aluminum kickstand and all components needed to activate it. The complete landing gear package retails for $895.00.Due to the nature of modifying kickstands, AirFX strongly recommends having a qualified mechanic perform the following installation.
1. Remove lower fairing and bracket.
2. Drill out three smaller holes with a 7/16" drill bit.
3. Locate under bike; pivot towards front of bike.
4. Remove retainer bolts and bar.
5. Apply red Loctite to bolts.
6. Partially install upper bolt on left side.
7. Partially install upper bolt on right side.
8. Partially install lower bolt on right side.
9. Partially install lower bolt on left side. Evenly tighten all four bolts.
10. Gear installed; up position.
11. Gear installed; down position.
12. Legs can be modified for specific applications.
